An indoor Ice Rink hosted a group of cerebral palsy kids on Thursday when about a dozen children from the Lehmann School came by.

Even though the temperature outside was 83 degrees, the kids stayed bundled up for their trip. Teacher's aide Pat Zazzaro said it was a great break from the cerebral palsy classroom.

The visit was one of several field trips to great places that the school principal Dennis Rose said is an important part of their care.

The CP kids were super excited when they were taken off the bus as their physical therapists helped to unload the vans in the parking lot with children and equipment.

Two nurses from the school said that these sort of events are important because it gets the children out and into the community.

Their was country music playing in the background and the ice rink became filled with super excited children who were pumped up to be playing hooky for the day.

The Lehmann School is a private non-profit school for kids with multiple physical and developmental disabilities. It takes care of kids from ages 3 to 21 from several different school districts.

It's always great to see cerebral palsy events like this take place. It's great for the kids and great for the community!
