Man With Cerebral Palsy to Study Astrobiology
Matt Levit will fly to the west coast this Sunday to study astrobiology in Mountain View, California. The 20-year-old man was born with cerebral palsy and diagnosed at around age 4.As a child, he needed speech therapy, his mother said, and he had to learn how to hold a pencil. Levit's motor skills made simple tasks like this difficult. She says that this led him to have an incredible work ethic.
Now, all of Levit's work has paid off. He has landed one of ten coveted spots for the prestigious SETI program in astrobiology. Over 115 students applied to this program.
Matt Levit is not only an inspiration to those with cerebral palsy, but also to all of us.
