Noteworthy Cerebral Palsy News

We have some interesting new stories for you this week.

Our first is about a swim event that has raised funds for cerebral palsy in Cape Town. A group of swimmers has come together to raise money for women with cerebral palsy. They braved the cold waves of the Atlantic in a race from one side of Camps Bay to the other.

Swimmer Ram Barkai said it was too dangerous to swim the relay, but they were determined to raise money for such a good cause as cerebral palsy.

Barkai, a chief executive officer of Cadiz Financial Strategy group, said that the money raised will go to the Western Cape Cerebral Palsy Association. Part of the money will be used to take a group of women from the association to a stage presentation of Beatyfall at the Artscape Theatre.

It's always great to see people come together to raise money for cerebral palsy!

The other story that we thought we'd share with you today comes from the father of a cerebral palsy child.

This British Columbian man tells us about a form of therapy called conductive education, which has helped his son learn and grow in school. If you have a few minutes, it is well worth the read.
