Young High School Wrestler With CP Never Quits

Jeremy Stanley is a 17 year old high school wrestler--with cerebral palsy. Despite being a rookie with limited physical capabilities, he gives it his all every time he hits the mat. He's a fast learner and refuses to give up, no matter what.

His wrestling squad welcomed him when he came out for practice at the beginning of the season. His team members say that he is truly a motivational force.

"As soon as you tell him good job he goes even harder," says his team co-captain, Hilda Ulloa.

"I take the single leg," Stanley tells us. "I try to get people on their backs. That's how you get points."

Stanley practices his wrestling moves with his brown and white English bulldog named Boris. That's how serious he is about his wrestling!

According to his coach, he's been progressing by the day and is building his strength up. When he isn't wrestling, he's jumping across mats, cheering his teammates on.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, cerebral palsy folks are some of the most inspirational there are out there!

OMG, he is indeed an inspiration to all! He just proved that having a cerebral palsy is not a barrier to reach a dream. Anyone with a difficulty can still be productive. It's always in the mind. And I bet his dog is really a big help as a companion.
