Young Man With Cerebral Palsy Heading to Paralympics

Marc Robertson is a 17-year-old apprentice mechanic and started playing football at Beeslack High School in Penicuik, UK. Football (soccer, to us) has always been Marc's passion.

Robertson is also going to realize his dreams of becoming the youngest player on the UK cerebral palsy football squad. In September, Robertson will compete in the 2008 Paralympic Games in China. This is a HUGE event for cerebral palsy patients.

Keith Wright, Robertson's coach, said "Although he only started three years ago, he has been a regular player in our Bank of Scotland Midnight League program organized through the Midlothian Council and Scottish Football Association partnership.

"Mark is now regularly selected for the Scottish International Cerebral Palsy Team and at the recent World Cup Games in Brazil he was awarded Young Player of the Tournament".
