Brachial plexus injury (BPI) is the injury of the brachial plexus or complex nerves that control the muscles of the fingers, hands, arms and shoulders. Brachial plexus palsy occurs due to paralysis of these muscles. Cerebral palsy is a permanent brain injury that limits the motor skills, speech and learning abilities of a person and causes joint and other related problems. Brachial and cerebral palsy can occur during birth or due to an accident.
