Nurse Accused of Sexual Assault of Cerebral Palsy Patient
inDES MOINES (AP) - A Des Moines man faces sexual assault charges after police say he assaulted a 52-year-old patient with mental and physical handicaps.
Ronald Agee, 37, is charged with two counts of third-degree sexual assault. He's accused of sexually assaulting a female patient last week at the University Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Des Moines, where he worked on the center's nursing staff.
The woman has cerebral palsy and had a stroke that's left her physically handicapped. Police say Agee turned himself in over the weekend.
He's being held at Polk County Jail under $26,000 cash bond.
